Final projects

This combines all my final projects so far, four to date, and after my last exam, I will add a fifth to this compilation.

I was inspired by a new material I had started using: cork. I took inspiration from large sea stacks and merged them with fantasy. I put a village and lighthouse on top, with a kraken beneath the waves. However, it is currently hard to see due to the pigment for the resin settling incorrectly and the resin forming many bubbles and cracks between layers and becoming nearly impossible to see through.

My GCSE finale project combined sketching and painting with a mountain landscape in the background and fireballs, arrows and flags. However, I placed a knight in partial armour in the foreground with the helmet removed, showing a self-portrait. It uses shadow to create depth and a slow fade on the edges to draw the eyes toward the centre focal point.

This is the final piece for a watercolour set of various mountains, in which I started developing my style of layering paints to build depth and shadow to draw the eye.
